We're in sort of a weird time right now where business are opening up, but Covid is still a thing. Where you're wrapping up 5th grade and I'm getting close to getting my book published, but I've had a few interviews so I'll hopefully be starting a new job soon. Things ending, things beginning. Truthfully, I'd be happier if I could just write for a living, but at this point we need the income, so I'll keep trying on the side.
I don't really have much else to update. Your dad got his first Covid shot last week, so he'll be ready to travel soon, but still no word on when one will be ready for kids under 12. I'm still hoping we can at least go to Aunt Linda's lake house this summer. We need a change of scenery!
You've had a couple of sleep overs lately, I'm not sure it's the right move given the pandemic, but you're right in that sweet spot where kids want to sleep over all the time and your friends were so we eventually relented.
Hopefully I'll actually have something interesting to write about soon. For now, I'll keep it short and tell you that I love you and I'm glad you're about to get to summer vacation because my little honey needs a break!
